A new year, a new day, a new morning

The beginning of a new year. A YEAR. So much happens in a year. Thinking of what could potentially happen in 2007 is overwhelming. It's too easy to get ahead of myself and forget about today. Glancing through the cover of a Chris Tomlin cd, I read something that blessed me and reminded me to slow down and remember that a year consists of months, made up of weeks and in turn made up of days. And that the dawning of each day begins with the rising of the sun-the morning. Our God is as faithful as the rising sun-the morning is a place of hope.* These are some of the verses that were included.

"The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning." Lamentations 3:22-23

"After this the people gathered the food morning by morning, each family according to its need. And as the sun became hot, the flakes they had not picked up melted and disappeared." Exodus 16:21

God does great things in the morning...

"Joshua got up early the next morning, and the priests again carried the Ark of the Lord...on the seventh day the Israelites got up at dawn and marched around the town as they had done before...When the people heard the sound of the rams' horns, they shouted as loud as they could. Suddenly the walls of Jericho collapsed..." Joshua 6:12,15,20
"Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray." Mark 2:35

Whatever this year brings-whether it is good or bad in my eyes, whether it involves waiting, starting, stopping, celebrating, savouring, learning, growing, listening or resting-I hope to start each day with fresh hope embracing grace and mercy, and never fearing, for He is ever with me. This is my prayer.

...but joy comes with the morning.

bonnie, autocad is super easy once you get the hang of it, learn the hotkeys and short cuts and you will cut down the draft time drastically!
