It was a week.

I feel like I should post something. So here I am, awake on Saturday morning, looking at the mound of homework before me, avoiding it by blogging. I slept in today. It was glorious. Although I do feel like I've wasted part of the morning already. Ha-and it's only 8 a.m. That's what getting up so early all the time does to my body. It confuses me as to what sleeping in really is.
Anyway, this has been my week:
Monday: began TWO more classes, and found out some BIG news about my program. It was a shocker. Still haven't totally absorbed it. Due to many reasons which I won't get into, one of our spring placements has been cancelled. Nixed. Is no longer. Completely has changed the look of my spring. No longer am I busy with school until the end of July. Because I have a random month off. I will most likely have my placement in May and then enjoy June off before having classes again in July. I still can't quite grasp the idea of just getting time off. It doesn't seem right. But, I'm sure I will figure out a way to enjoy it :)
Tuesday: Was walking through the UofA hospital when out of the corner of my eye, I see someone faint and hit the ground hard. Looking around, noticing that no one else saw, I rushed to her side and stayed with this girl until others arrived. It's amazing how long it took for nurses, doctors etc. to get there when we were in a hospital. Due to miscommunication, a code blue was called and after a few minutes I am surrounded by more doctors, nurses, medical staff and equipment in one place then I have ever seen before. I quietly slipped to the back of the crowd, watched the scene unfold and disappeared as I was no longer needed. My adrenaline was pumping for a good 1/2 hour after that experience. Not a typical tuesday. Oh, and my camera finally arrived. FINALLY, after almost 6 months of waiting for it to get fixed.
Wednesday: After my workout, I showered (obviously) and then realized I left my towel in my locker. I had sweaty clothes or dry clean clothes to work with. And drip drying does not work. Heh, heh...what did I do? I am pretty daring, so if you are creative, you just might figure it out. Later in the day, I began to have an allergic reaction at school that lasted until late the next day. My skin was crawling and I have never felt so itchy all over. And the more I scratched, the more hives that would show up. When I got home from school on Wednesday, I thought it would go away so I did nothing about it. When I woke up on Thursday and it was still hanging around, I groaned, knowing I would not even have 2 minutes to pop by a store to pick up some anti-histamines.
Thursday: Yes, no time to pick up some meds to help with the allergic reaction. Up at 4:30, at school by 5:45, at physio until 7:45, and in class straight from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. No breaks, unless you count the 5 minutes every two hours that we had to scarf down some food or run to the bathroom. Not a fun day. Finally got to the store around 5:30 and had to rush home to finish cleaning because my small group was coming over for "activity" night. One of our members was teaching us yoga which turned out to be really fun and very relaxing. And then we enjoyed pie and ice cream sundaes. The end of the day was much better than the beginning!
Friday: Finally a relatively normal day. No class, just physio in the morning, a good workout, some studying and some down time. And more ice cream sundaes with friends.
Today: Study.
On that note, here I go...

Sorry...after I read my comment I realized that "desirable" didn't sound so good. Let's just say that the sun really cheered me up :) haha... Didn't mean to sound scandalous ;)

Ha ha ha--Bonnie that is so funny. When I read "desirable", a question mark appeared above my head with one eye brow raised! We're not talking agape love here are we? Lol. I'm happy that the sun is shining in the 'wack and putting a smile of your face. That makes me happy! Have fun with your friends tonight!

mmmmm sundaes. I may have had one, or possibly 3 this weekend too. There also may have been some chocolate cake involved. So much for my "no junk food for 6 months" idea.

Does your allergic reaction have anything to do with no towel in the shower (and your creative solution to dry off?). It sounds like you rolled on the floor to get to your locker...yes, that is the most logical conclusion.

Kath. You guessed right! I did the James Bond move, with my fake gun in my hand, I looked from right to left, somersaulted to the ground and rolled 3 times to get to my locker...BUCK NAKED to retrieve my towel. That must be where that darn allergic reaction came from...

i am also confused with the allergic reaction relating or not relating to your dry off solution.
My guess is...you used a bath mat as a towel and had an allergic reaction to somebody else's foot fungus...that is probably the most reasonable explanation.. When i have forgotten towels in the past, i have dried off with paper towel. or the hand dryer..whatever is available...its not fun! or..if you have a text book with you, just rip a couple of the index pages out and dry off with that...
crazy week friend. crazy.

hahha, yeah, she'll carry a TEXT book into the shower stall, but NO towel! Hahahhaa.
