Giving Thanks!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone had a chance to enjoy some turkey or ham...but more importantly, I hope you enjoyed the company of people you love. It was so nice to have a long weekend. Incredibly perfect timing. I was in much need of having somewhat of a break from school and I definitely relaxed this weekend. Well, relaxed in the sense that I didn't do too much homework, but I was very busy spending time with people...always a good time. This was my Sunday night thanksgiving dinner at Tracy and Steph's....-prior to dinner...the table before all the food arrived on it...we had a semi-traditional dinner with turkey, ham, stuffing, potatoes and then the non-traditional part of thai salad, perogies and chinese food. SO DELICIOUS :) Steph with her ice sculpture creation--her wine chiller was so cool! (Wow, bad pun..did not mean that) Tracy eating the giant turkey leg. I was so impressed...it was almost as big as her!
Karen and I feeling pretty ready to eat some delicious food....

Teddy and Tracy.

After a day of shopping on Saturday....look at all those bags!! Ha ha, these are the bags of 4 girls gone shopping! We definitely made some great purchases and had a fun time. It was myself, Karen, Jo and her cousin that went. We started off on Whyte avenue where I found an amazing dress for so cheap (i'll have to post a picture of it one day) and a great purse that I have been eyeing for over 6 months. After that at West Ed, most of my purchases were for my upcoming placement. I feel like I shouldn't have spend money on clothes...but I know that they will get used so....(how's that for justification?)

(Sorry...that deleted one was from me but after I read it, I realized that a very crucial word was missed and the whole thing didn't make sense. So I'll try again!).......

Wonderful justification. Truly a girl after my own heart :)
So I have to take a moment to confess that when I saw these pictures, I was very envious. And not about the amazing food OR shopping (which I suppose i could be envious of too). But more so of the fact that all those people got to spend Thanksgiving with you and I didn't. It was so good to see your beautiful face and I'd give ANYTHING right now to hangout with you. (By the way... you are looking fabulous Jen!! Seriously!) I'm so glad that you have made such good friends out in E-ville (haha) but it makes me jealous cuz I miss you so, so, so much. I thought about you a lot this weekend and am so happy to see that you didn't spend it alone with all your physio books :) I love you so much Jen and miss you like crazy. I'll try my hardest to call you this week! So until then my love... :)
