Tag, you're it.

I've been tagged. And I'm supposed to share 7 weird/random facts about myself. And I have no idea what to write. So I'm going to sit here and think for a little while. Oh, and I'm not putting a link to Bonnie (who tagged me) because I don't know how. And in the meantime, I'm going to tell you that it's snowing outside. And it's glorious and beautiful and so wintery. I love it.

After pondering what is weird and random about me I've come up with the following. Although I think other people may be able to come up with stranger things about myself than I can.

1. I TRULY enjoy taking the bus. I look forward to bundling up in the morning and racing to make it to the bus stop on time. I like the fact that someone else is driving while I close my eyes and pray, listen to music or stare out the window thinking about everything and anything.

2. I am 26 and have never dated a boy for longer than 3 months. And that's pushing it. No, I don't have commitment issues. I just seem to attract all the wrong men. It must be my scent. Ha ha.

3. I would rather run in -27 weather (like last night) than in +27 weather. There is something magical about wearing technical fabrics designed to keep me warm as well as a toque, balaclava and gloves while dodging ice patches and feeling snow flakes dance across my face. I love sweating but not feeling hot and having my eye lashes freeze. I love the way people look at me as I whiz past them on the sidewalk. I can hear them wondering out loud what kind of crazy person would RUN in the cold Edmonton winter. I love being that crazy person.

4. I hum and whistle randomly. I don't always know what I'm humming or whistling. I think I make it up most of the time. And this is something I have just realized recently. Last night in fact. I'm more cognizant of my habits now that I have a roommate. And I like to hear myself even though I can't normally carry a tune.

5. When I cut up raw chicken, I boil water and pour it over anything that may have come in contact with the raw chicken. I can't handle the raw-ness of it all. Sometimes I will even scald my hands if I've handled the chicken with my bare hands. Bad idea, I know. I usually boil water twice and disinfect several times. Obsessed. I agree.

6. I have dance parties. Alone. Sometimes in front of a mirror and sometimes just in the middle of my room or kitchen or bathroom or wherever I have enough space to bust out. And I love it. It gives me energy, makes me laugh (at myself of course) and allows me to be me. It's a great workout. Try it sometime. You'll be glad you did.

7. I'm stealing Bonnie's idea on this one. Only because my record beats her record. I have lived in Edmonton for one year and 3 months and I have lived in 4 different places. I have had the worst "luck" when it comes to places to live. Although I don't consider it luck. I consider it blessed. I have great memories, have made great friends and now have a great roommate whom I wouldn't have as a roommate if I didn't move the other 3 times. So, there you go. 4 different places in under a year and half. I hate moving too ;)

There you have it friends. Jen's weirdness all bundled up in 7 statements. That was actually easier than I thought. I have several other ideas in my head but I'm going to stick with what's up there. Hope you enjoyed it! And now that I'm supposed to tag people...hmm, well I'm going to go with:

Bobbi
Leah (now you have to blog)
Becky
Vicky
Hailey
Paul
Jamie.

And I know most of these people won't do it. But heck, they're tagged now. Again, sorry, no links!

Goodnight!

Way to go ya hardcore! Thanks for playing along. It was fun to read these things about you...even though I am proud to say that I know you well enough that I knew pretty much everything you wrote already :) Still fun though! Love you. Sleep tight.

Hi Jen!
I'm so impressed!! I haven't updated Ava's in sooo long, I even forgot the password! Anyways, really enjoyed reading your last 10 blogs posts...which tells you how long it's been since we've talked! So glad you had a great Christmas break. We'll have to catch up when we're down in Edmonton next month. Oh by the way, I can top you living in Edmonton...we now live in FORT MCMURRAY!! (But like you, we have been blessed with AWESOME friends whom we wouldn't be good friends with if we didn't move here).
OK...that was way too long of a comment. I'll email you soon!
