Just to re-iterate, I've moved. Lots. And I have some people to thank for helping me out time and time again. I must say, I have a PFA moving crew. This week has been busy. Mom and I drove from the 'wack to E-town on Sunday and proceeded to spend the next couple of days packing, cleaning and moving what we could in SLICK (my little itsy bitsy car).
We managed to fit half a shelf into my passenger seat/backseat, my mom AND me all at once into Slick. Creative thinking on my part but I'm glad I didn't have to drive far or turn many corners to get to my new place. Steering the wheel was a bit of a challenge :)
My mom and I managed to fit in some fun too while she was out including: finding her a beautiful dress for a reunion, having a picnic in the park, buying some delicious tea, me doing some physio on her toe and getting a parking ticket! (I wrote a letter to the city of Edmonton appealing this parking ticket. It's a long story but I actually didn't break a single bylaw even though the parking officer thought I did...man, I have gotten more parking tickets in this city than anywhere else I have ever lived. Ahem...I digress)
After I dropped my mom off at the airport on Wednesday, I drove to my friend Becky's house in order to help HER move to a great location near campus. Jo joined in for the fun and this is only a small portion of what we moved...As you can see, we were a little tired and in need of some sustenance after moving all of Becky's stuff. Jo cooked us up some delicious corn (from her farm in Ontario), some potatoes and cucumber. It was a yummy mixture of food and just what we needed to go and move the rest of my stuff!
Here's Jo...picture perfect in the frame of one of my shelves. Just relaxing on my mattress in Becky's truck. I think Becky decided that all she needs for her next camping trip is her truck and a mattress in the back. Quite comfortable and cozy.
Goofing off a little. All 3 of us squished into the back of the truck on the mattress. We were laughing pretty hard about this and we definitely got some of "those" looks from people as they drove by. Gotta have a little fun during a long day of moving!
Thanks again Mom, Jo and Becky for helping me move. All your help was very much appreciated! You are all blessings to me!
