RAIN! yes, for the last couple of days it's been raining off and on (mostly in the evenings) and then today we had a bit of a downpour. I was driving to Wal-mart (to buy an umbrella--it makes waiting for the bus a lot drier) and honestly forgot that I was in Alberta for awhile. I was just doing my thing when I suddenly noticed an Alberta license plate. I had to give my head a shake cuz I was a little confused. I'm used to having lots of rain in the lower mainland so today I definitely had a taste of home :) The only difference is how cold it has been lately without the sun shining. I went for a run down at the river valley with a couple of girls from school today and my hands were frozen!! I don't think I've adjusted my thinking yet to that of Albertan's. I just assume because it is only mid-September that it should still be fairly warm out. Gotta change that thinking quickly since we might be getting some wet snow this weekend. How not cool is that? I'm posting a picture of my favorite flower in my mom's garden just so I can live in the past--when it was still warm out......

Jen,
Not to worry, you'll get used to crazy Alberta weather, the winters are freezing, but the sun shines so often that it makes even the coldest days refreshing. Okay, I just tried my best to make a week of -30 sound good. Did it work??
love ya,
Krista
uuggg, I know! It's been raining here everyday just about, except for the first week I was here! It's crazy! But here, the Aussies NEED the rain, so everyone is happy about it. Only I guess it has never been below 20 degrees, and it rarely rains ALL DAY...I am imagining how cold you must be, gross. Well, soon I will be jealous, because it will be so hot and humid here, I will be taking 2 showers a day, maybe more. No joke.
Well, I think summer has finally ended here in BC. The days are quickly becoming shorter and the air crisper, much to our chagrin. The rainy season doesn't seem so far away anymore! I hope you have a blessed time in our neighboring province - I'm sure you'll learn tons about yourself and about God in the process, so soak it up (not the rain, that is)!
Your cuz,
Michael
Hey gorgeous! Just wanted to say hi! Hope you had a great weekend---I had the best one i've had in SO long! It was just great! Oh, and I finally have MSN messenger so now you and Leah and I can chat away! Just wanted you to know!
Love you and I'm missing you lots and lots!

Hey Jen,
For the last 5 or 6 years every time it gets cold here in alberta I dream of moving back home. From Micheal it sounds like the grass really isn't greener on the other side. Figurativley speeking because of course the grass is greener in B.C. Hah!
Your oldest, wisest and best looking bother.
Chris
