It was contemporary, I swear.

Girls, I sprained my thumb. Or something.

And my neck kinda hurts.

I think I'm blaming it on the Saturday afternoon "dance-off" we had.

I was in Edmonton this weekend for several reasons. One, I had to meet some group members at school to work on our research. Two, I had to put in some practice time for the OSCE coming up soon and three, we (my roommates and I) were having a housewarming party.

Feeling rather tired and lethargic after a marathon 6 hour day at school (after little sleep the night before), I came home on Saturday to start getting ready for our party. That's when we put on some music. And it got louder. And louder.

I think the dancing started in the kitchen. It quickly moved into the living room so we'd have more floor space. The imitations began (of moves from SYTYCD), the fake contemporary dances started, and I believe trying to "act" out the songs also got thrown in the mix. Next thing you know we're crying.

Crying because we're laughing so hard.

I think we all grabbed our throats and pretended to choke at one point.

I wish I had it on camera.

I do have pictures from our housewarming party but I can't find my camera cord to upload them. It was a good time. I think we had about 25 people there at one point. And we even got gifts. Not that we intentionally had this party to get gifts. People just brought us love. In the form of wine. A lot of wine. Good thing we have two fridges.

Where's that corkscrew anyway?

Oh yes, back to the thumb. I don't remember what I did while I was dancing but my thumb hurts today. And dancing is the only crazy thing I did this weekend that I can even attribute this pain to. My shoulders are a little achy. And did I mention my neck hurts?

I know y'all wanna see my dance moves :)

Well I HAVE seen YOUR dance moves and I'm not going to lie...I'm not surprised you have a sore neck and thumb :) haha You're so hardcore, I love it! Wish I could've been there and contributed to both the dancing and the wine giving :) Love you!
