Some of my "PT CRUISERS" teammates and I
Steph-so suave
Jo-she's way too happy for what she is doing
Becky-kickin' some serious buttSo this is my weekend of firsts:
Friday morning: my first few hours at my new job
Friday afternoon: my first spinning class (we had our Wheels-to-wellness fundraiser and our teams of 8 rotated spinning for an hour at a time. It was SO AWESOME! I've never taken a spinning class before and it was IN-TENSE! Such a great workout and for a great cause as well.)
Saturday: the first WARM day in Edmonton in a very very long time. It was around +10 and I went skating in the afternoon in a long sleeved shirt and zip up. NO winter jacket--too hot!! I have never been so appreciative of the warmth of the sun. Mind you, the ice was a bit slushy, but I wasn't complaining, that's for sure!
Sunday: my first time making risotto. It was delicious. Asparagus and pesto risotto to be exact. Thanks Rachael Ray! The only problem is that with a huge pot of risotto and only one of me, I'll be eating it for a week :) Make that two weeks!

I've been studying, and studying, and studying lately. That's why I have nothing much of interest to post, nothing to make you laugh, nothing to make you ponder. Meh. That's my life though-school-and I've accepted my role as a professional student.

Haha, hey don't you need those wrap around sunglasses? The iridescent ones, with a fluro frame?
you have a job?
and whats with the sunnies??? you're inside for cryin out loud
Sounds like a fun weekend Jen! So glad you got a nice sunny day to go skating and enjoy the fresh air! It was GORGEOUS here today!!!! Just wonderous...
Anyway...just realized that I forgot to send you a support cheque for your fundo...can I still send it or is it too late? I mean, it won't be much but I'd still like too if it isn't too late....let me know hotstuff!
LOVE YOU!!
Hey yo, too bad it wasn't sunny and hot out, then you could've rode a real bike. Maybe one of these days that will happen. They say it's getting warmer but I don't feel it. Well, have fun studying and such because that's all I'll be doing for the next month too! Yee haw.
hi k ;)
sunnies were part of the costume. we were the PT cruisers silly. and yes, I have a job. research. i'm not doing the research...just helping out with some of the behind the scenes stuff! go hard on your exam this week!! love ya!
hey Jen, guess what. I don't get shin splints anymore. What the..? But I am glad. I have tried EVERYTHING. I now run barefoot on the softer sand, and run on the balls of my feet. My calves are sore, but no more splints. I have been doing this now for a month, I guess, and so far so good. It does feel weird going to purposely go for a run barefoot. I feel like if I am wanting to do proper exercise I should be wearing the $300 orthotics I had made for me!
Anyhoo, beach running is a great work out. I feel like it works my whole leg, and not just mainly my calves as compared to running on the street or a track, but if you get around to it, let me know what else you had thought of re: shin splints...
:)
